Synopsis
The folktales and proverbs in this collection are divided into two main
sections: war and peace. The tales are intended to illustrate qualities that
lead to war such as stubbornness, suspicion, fear and anger and those that bring
peace, including cooperation, patience, identifying with the opponent, and
working together. A multicultural index identifies the origins of the talesand
